Review: 4U2 dreamGirl Faith BB cream

Again, this one's not mine. :D My sister told me to make a review of it, and who am I to refuse? I was actually the one who recommended this to her since I saw positive reviews, and she was looking for a good yet not so expensive product.

From 4U2:

Wanna Blemish-Free Complexion? Have Faith in this One Stop Make-Up base, Foundation and Powder. Long lasting protection, soothing, and moisturizing. Be a dreamGirl!

It looks a little dark for my skintone.

 Under natural light

Under bright sunlight

I still think that it's slightly dark for my liking. Though I would say that I shouldn't be ranting since this one's so inexpensive, yet does the job.

Pros:
  • affordable! P184.00 or $4 for 30ml
  • can cover imperfections with two applications
  • glides smoothly on the skin
  • the smell is nearly faint to undetectable
  • it adjusts to your skintone if well blended
  • cute packaging (it's PINK!)
  • dewy-looking skin for the first few hours
  • available in Watsons and in leading department stores

Cons:
  • has only one shade that is said to be the universal color which they say, would fit on any skintone
  • slightly dark on me (I still don't know what my shade is :| )
  • accdng to my sister, this made her face oily and dark after 3 hours of use (she has super oily skin, mind you)
  • stocks are limited

Fifty Shades of Grey

The culprit of everything. The reason why I get up late. And why this blog doesn't do its job. Oh Christian Grey, will you ever be real? You completely disarm me just how you never fail to disarm Anastasia. And you, Ms. Steele, can you feel my greed? Please Mr. Grey, COME TO LIFE.

Sophie Paris Lipstick in Ice Pink

This one's totally not mine, haha, but for the sake of blogging, hell yeah! Today's review is a pink lippy that's from Sophie Paris. Take a look.

The packaging actually feels pretty nice, not flimsy nor feels like literally made of plastic.

The shade is Ice Pink which is a bright pink color that totally reminds me of Barbie.

L-R: swatched once, twice, thrice in natural light

 under bright sunlight

after constant rubbing under running water

Pros:
  • nicely pigmented
  • super affordable! This one's P79.00 or not more than $2
  • decent staying power (can last 3-4hours without eating or drinking)

Cons:
  • has the tendency to dry up your lips (depending on your lip condition). lip moisturizer/balm is a must!
  • not widely available, but you can get this online or at the main branch of Sophie in Mandaluyong, and in Sophie resellers. Got this in Sophie's booth at Farmers, Cubao

Review: Pond's White Beauty Pearl Cream

I've been seeing this product and got curious. Until one day I saw this, and off I went to the cashier.

From the Pond's Institute:

White Beauty Pearl Cream - for rough, uneven-toned skin - formulated to give you visibly radiant, smooth and pinkish-white looking skin.

Purifies for better Lightening - Vitamins C & E help nourish skin and neutralize effects of free radicals in the environment that cause skin darkening.

Evens out Skin Tone - Special formulation with Pearl Nutrient makes blemishes look instantly lighter and evens out dark skin areas on your face.

Shields Skin From Sun - Triple sunscreen protects skin from darkening and damaging UVA & UVB rays.

L: swiped once  R: blended

The consistency is creamy yet it's hard to spread on the skin. It doesn't glide smoothly, thus, making me tug my skin. And after application, you'll see the whitening effect literally. I don't know but the shade doesn't suit me well. And, it's actually sticky to the touch. The next day I woke up, my face feels and looks oily. All in all, I'm not satisfied with this product. Although it's for P50.00 (4g), it's still money. I don't know, but I'm still hoping that one day, this will also work for me the way it works for others. See, positivity counts!

Review: Etude House Single Eyeshadow

Hello hello! Haha! Nothing, I'm just feeling alive and kicking. :D So, let's get back to the main purpose of this blog. Actually, I'm torn between the Bling Bling Eyestick and this one, but as you can see, I got the latter. This shade is probably the most glittery amongst all of their eyeshadows, particularly from the Look at my Eyes Jewel line. Shade is BR402 or Luxury Gold Earring.

L: Swatched once  R: Swatched heavily

Sorry for the quality of photos, I just used my cellphone for that. Anyway, this is really a stunning shade, I mean, who wouldn't want to look gorge on the spotlight? See the shimmers? It's quite chunky if you ask me, but all I do is to tap off the excess glitters just to make it a bit tamed. When you swiped it over the lids, the gold hue isn't that visible, it just picks up the shimmers which can be half hit and half miss. But if you want to make the gold hue appear better, use your fingers instead of brush just so you pick up not only the shimmers that are on top, but also the color. It actually creates a subtle hint during the day, but you can add more at night for that gorgeous look. It's pretty and this just got a love love love from me! :)

Pros:
  • lovely embossed hearts!
  • pretty shade
  • is it safe to say that this is a bit affordable? Got it for P198.00 or almost $5
  • cute packaging that feels sturdy
  • gives a nice glow to the eyes
  • subtle yet buildable shimmer and pigment

Cons:
  • fallouts
  • sheer application

Review: Fashion 21 Single Eyeshadow

I love to color my eyes. You know, it makes them look wide and awake, and glam as well. As for the search for a black eyeshadow, I'm actually eyeing the single eyeshadows from Etude House, but you see, I'm always preferring for an inexpensive one that also has the same quality as that of the expensive ones. So when I went browsing for some cosmetics, I saw this one from Fashion 21, a proudly Filipino brand. And this is what I got. The single eyeshadow in 18.

On my finger. See, it's pigmented!

It's really that small, but for the price, who am I to complain? In the third picture, you'll really see how pigmented it is, but turns into a smooth touch of black on your eyes when blended properly.

Pros:
  • surprisingly pigmented
  • smooth and slightly velvety to the touch
  • inexpensive! P65.00 or $1.55
  • can last up to 3-4 hours in humid condition
  • clear and minimalist packaging
  • available at  Watsons and leading department stores. Got this at Robinsons Metroeast

Cons:
  • fallouts!
  • can get slightly powdery when brush is used
  • packaging is a little flimsy
  • has super fine shimmers but it doesn't bug me that much. So for matte fanatics, you might not like this one.
